As we move closer and closer to our 1st anniversary, we are delighted to announce TheVault’s new logo and brand identity. The new logo plays a big part in determining the overall look and feel of our security platform as we shift gears into development mode.

Introducing, TheVault’s 2019 logo:

TheVault was born in 2017, when our two co-founders, Dannie and Marco were inspired to act as a result of what they saw as an acute lack of trust by the general public in the cryptocurrency sector.

Their research showed that exchanges seemed to be operating without the security standards and processes that we’d come to expect from traditional financial organizations. And just as alarming, without the consumer protection measures we’d come to expect from the retail sector.

The crypto-currency sector was supposedly based on secure decentralized blockchain technology, but most of the popular crypto exchanges were running centralized platforms, self-regulated and largely unchecked by Government oversight.

To Dannie and Marco, this meant huge gaps not just in security processes at the point of transaction processing, but also a lack of consumer protection, should something go wrong.

So they decided to set about how to build a security platform to fix the issues for exchanges and to protect consumers. The ultimate aim, to build “trust” in what is an exciting sector with enormous opportunities.

Fast forward 2 years, and now at TheVault, we call this building “The Trust Layer for Digital Transactions”. And to get there, 3 words were fundamental to the project: Protect, Secure, Guarantee. These words are a fundamental part of our corporate DNA.

Our platform comprises 3 main elements: Consumer protection, fraud detection and consensus.

Our logo has to reflect impregnable strength, unshakable stability, as well reliability and scalability, traits that are crucially important to taking on building something as powerful as the trust layer for all digital transactions on the blockchain.

In order to achieve our goal, we’ll be working closely with many cryptocurrency exchanges, wallet providers, custodians and blockchain payment networks to ensure our security platform is a solution that complements their services.

Hopefully, this will not only take the stress out of having to manage their own in-house cybersecurity teams, but importantly, give their consumers safe, secure and trusted protection over their transactions.

The three edges of TheVault Penrose Triangle represent our partners, crypto-traders and us, working together to achieve a standard of trust together in the crypto sector. And it also represents the opportunity of the future when blockchain becomes the technology of today’s banking and payment systems.

Complementing our logo is a new set of branding colors across all collaterals and user interfaces.

Shades of blue are famously used by technology companies such as Intel, IBM and Microsoft. Tradition companies known for their reliability and innovation, but we opted for a purple blue as a tribute towards the crypto industry that favours bright colors on dark backgrounds.

We selected yellow and grey to tone down the intensity of the blues as we may be a highly technical cybersecurity solution but we want to be able to connect with both developers and the general consumer — even someone just starting out and learning what blockchain is, and how to trade cryptocurrencies. When cryptocurrencies become a mainstream form of payment, we know that together as an industry, we’ve won.

Our recent announcement of the NEMVault, in partnership with NEM Foundation and its beta release scheduled for July 2019 will be the first service to be outfitted with our new logo and brand colors. We’re looking forward to revealing the service to all exchanges that signed up and to collect valuable feedback for our next iteration. If you’re interested in joining the beta and operate or manage an exchange, please reach out to us at hello@thevaultlab.com for access.

In the upcoming months, you’ll notice updates to our collaterals, business cards etc. with the new logo and brand colors. If you have used TheVault’s previous logo in any of your marketing materials, please assist us in updating them and we appreciate your constant support.
