BenRiach Month!
Single casks, a down under tour, a giveaway competition and some lovely specials are all coming your way this month!
We’ve partnered up with the team over at Brown-Forman and are dedicating November to love of all things BenRiach, one of the more underrated distilleries in Scotland and sister-distillery to our beloved GlenDronach!
During the month look out all kinds of cool info about the distillery and its whisky, the launch of the Batch 15 single cask range, a competition to give away a beloved BenRiach that is about to be relaunched (hint), a few very cool special offers on BenRiach whisky and (the subject of this blog), a down under tour of epic whisky tastings hosted in each major city in Aus!
BenRiach Single Cask Tastings!
Drinking Whisky is always better in good company. Being able to enjoy and savour the unique layers, aromas and flavours in a good whisky is why most of us flock to Whisky in the first place — but its those shared moments, savouring a good dram in good company that makes for the most enjoyable and memorable Whisky Moments™ (😜). It’s similar to the buzz you get watching a good TV show, movie or performance, then sharing anecdotes and favourite moments with friends and colleague, finding new nuances and depths that you might have missed on your own, or the joy of a shared epiphany when the ‘feels’ hit in the the right way for you and others in the same way.
Which is why we are so excited to see a slew of tastings all around this great brown land of ours over the next month or so, showcasing the depth and breadth of the output of The Benriach. A true whisky fiend’s dream, The Benriach, nestled in the Speyside region just outside Elgin, has deservedly risen in prominence and importance in the last 14 years since its re-opening and change of direction in 2004, after a short stint of sitting idle after shuttering in 2002.
Most commonly released in blends prior to 2004, we are thankful that more and more single cask and single malt offerings are seeing the light of day from this versatile and at times decidedly ‘un-Speysidey’ (in all the best of ways) distillery.

We’ve compiled a handy list of events here which will keep you updated with all the details for The Benriach events as they pop up (and sell out!). We’re pumped to be attending some of these events and can’t wait to try and wax lyrical with you all over the latest releases from one of our favourite underrated Speyside Whisky producers, bottled under the guidance of master blender Rachel Barrie. Rachel’s influence has been keenly felt in the excellent recent batch of Glendronach 18 Allardice so we are very excited to sample what she has come up with drawing from the amazing spectrum at her finger tips in The Benriach bonded warehouses.
These tastings are just the tip of the iceberg and we’re excited to be working with The Benriach, Brown-Forman and select retail and bar partners to bring you some seriously awesome news in the days ahead. We don’t want to GIVEAWAY the game too early, just give a small TASTE of things to come, as we have a SINGLE t(c)ask at hand, but we promise it will be a SPECIAL blend (*ahem* single malt!) of stuff made from a true COCKTAIL of Speyside deliciousness — in inimical The Whisky List style — stay tuned!
