What are you up to this weekend?
Rounding out an amazing few months of events celebrating our favourite spirit, this weekend sees the Sydney debut of ‘Whiskey! The Show’ presented by our good friends at Alchemist Events (the evil geniuses behind The Whisky Show).
Over 50 differing expressions of Whiskey from continental North America (yeah looking at you Canada as well!) as well as locally produced spirit like Upshot (see our review here) showcasing the American Whiskey spectrum from Grain to Bourbon, Rye to Tennessee Whiskey and everything in between.
The show will be hosted at the Stamford Grand, Circular Quay in Sydney this Saturday, in two sessions. 12PM — 3PM and 4PM — 7PM.
We are very much looking forward to revisiting some of the more well known and promoted brands as well as discovering some new gems from or directly inspired by a part of the world that has seen an explosion in the number of craft distilleries and expressions in recent times. Relative newcomers (to Australian shores) like Shelter Point, innovators like Koval from Chicago among many others will appear alongside perennial favourites like Jim Beam, Wild Turkey, Woodford Reserve and Jack Daniels for y(our!) tasting pleasure.
Who knows you might even catch some of The Whisky List crew skulking about (or if I can skive off, drinking!)
