I Published My First Ebook – This Is What I’ve Learned
The lessons I learned from writing my first ebook.
It was 3 AM.
And the only light in my apartment comes from my laptop screen.
It illuminated not just on the words on the page, but also the exhaustion around my eyes.
My stomach felt weird because of a mix of nervous energy and self-doubt.
Partly fueled by the half-eaten bag of chips beside me (hey, a writer’s gotta eat).
Yep, that was me a few weeks ago.

Lesson #1: You Hold the Pen
There have been countless moments that I was staring at an empty screen. Yet another page I didn’t know how to start.
I was very easily intimidated during this process. Because I thought every word needed to be a masterpiece.
I had to remind myself over and over again that the blank page is just a piece of paper (or pixels, I guess).
It’s powerful only as much as I let it be.
My biggest breakthrough was to treat the first draft like a grocery list. Write, brainstorm, ramble…
