The years, a holding pattern.
I crawled the cobbled yard path.
The doorstep was his arm I laid on
And thousands of miles released me.
His eyes like sunlit windows
Letting me know
Home was always home.

My blessing, let me feast upon you.
Let me sleep away the journey.
Rested, let me wander every room
And breathe in the scent of arrival.
No more travel plans considered.
I've found my peace
Drawing back the curtains.
