The black body of daylight
Is numb to the taste of tyranny,
And gold plated pheasants
Garnish’d for the gutless.
But the wings of a sparrow
Flying over London from Hawassa
With a promise of saffron yellow
Carry the weight of the sun,
And justice has a sweet fragrance.
