Image: Daydreams, by Arnaud Ele

Between a rock and a fountain,
I find my dreams
lost upon a face and a time,
gridlocked in haute couture.

Remember when beauty evaporated
into a vision in the clouds and
hid behind the sun until she fell,
morphing into snowflakes?

The four faces of the
mighty Matterhorn remind me of
a blissful avalanche, and the day
some hell and high waters fell
through my sweet dreams.

In the rumblings
of a flowing mountain,
I stood still and heard your voice
running circles around the walls in
my veins, then day broke, and
all my dreams came true.

This poem was commissioned by Fashion Photographer Arnaud Ele, for Latest Magazine, December 2018.
