How Great Thou Art!

Once upon a while,
not so long ago,
I met a moose at
The V and A Museum.
She was the most alluring
creation I’d seen in this
world, and all the rest.
If memory serves me right,
I think we stood for something,
right before we fell in love.
She was let loose, and we
were set free to walk hand
in hand, without finesse.
Then the world stopped,
just in time to see us shine.
It was a marvellous sight,
seeing how they all paused
to revel in the joy of our
verve for life.
Caught between the crosshairs
of a split second, we felt so alive.
If only for a moment, it was just us;
it was just me, The V&A, and Vamoose.
