Bring Souls to Christ
February 2020
Being a member missionary is an important component of doing the work of salvation in the Twenty Sixth Ward.
Handbook 2 instructs the bishopric to prioritize member missionary work. For example, we are to teach the doctrines of missionary work regularly.
What are the doctrines of missionary work?
Preach My Gospel, the guide for missionaries in the field, is helpful. It reminds missionaries that “Your purpose is to bring souls to Christ.”

Could it be more simple than that? The doctrines of member missionary work seem to be very similar to the basic lessons in all our books of scripture, our classes, instruction we receive in the Temple, and the counsel we receive from the prophets and apostles. To bring souls to Christ.
How, then, do we do it? How do we go about bringing souls to Christ?
First, act like Him. You are Saints in His Church, and, you have a special responsibility to follow Him and be His disciple.
Remember, as members of the Kingdom you also have many privileges, gifts, and tools at your disposal to carry out the awesome responsibility.
