Pencils

This combo paperweight and paperclip/pencil holder probably originates in mid-century period. I remember it as a kid, and think I (?) gave it the snazzy paint job then, certainly removing any value it may have otherwise had as an antique. Although, being lead and antimony, a coating of some sort was probably a good idea. Some sources suggest it was an ashtry originally, but if so it was rather poorly formed for that purpose.
