How to: Use the Real-Time Rating Feature (Premium)
TL;DR: By becoming a premium user (which costs less than a cup of coffee ^_^) you can scan any beauty product of your liking and receive the product’s rating and ingredient breakdown instantly! You no longer have to wait for your product’s submission to be processed.
Attention, Dirty Thinkers, you will want to hear this!
We have heard you loud and clear…
“I can never find my product on your app”!
“I submitted a new product, will I ever receive a rating??”
Well, those days are over! How, you might ask?
Here’s a quick overview:
- Once you submit a new product, you will get that product rated instantly. And we mean, right away. Or, as we like to call it, in Real-time!
- We have expanded our app to search for a larger surface of products, so you have a much higher probability of finding your product!
- Are you worried your old submissions will be left behind? Don’t fret, those will be instantaneously rated as well!
How Does This Work?
This is all thanks to our Real-Time Rating feature! Currently, there are four ways to access this feature:
- Scan a product
- Your product is not found after a search
- Submit a new product to the database
- Go to History and press on Products Submitted
Let’s go through each case quickly:
#1: Scan a Product
We understand it’s frustrating having to scan your product, submit it into the database, and wait for a response that you’re probably still waiting on, let’s be for real…
With the Real-Time rating feature, you can scan a product, submit it, and instantly receive the product’s rating and ingredient breakdown!
#2: Your Product is not found after a search
Trying to search for your product in the Search bar? Trying to search the UPC and still cannot find it. Well, if you find yourself hitting this dead end, with the Real-time rating feature you can submit your product, and get the rating and ingredient breakdown immediately!
#3: Add a new product
The good ol’ trusted Add Product feature currently allows you to directly submit a form of your product to be added to the database. However, this also requires a lot of waiting time.
Now, you can add a new product to the database and get the rating and ingredient breakdown in real time! You can also edit the submitted product and get the updated information immediately!
#4: Go to History and press on Products Submitted
Remember those days of looking through your History, checking your Product Submitted tab and only seeing unrated products? Yeah, well, say goodbye to those days!
Now, when you go to History and press on Products Submitted, any new submissions, along with their Real-time ratings, will be relayed there. You can always check and make your edits whenever you want, too. And any old submissions will be rated instantly (yes, the ones you’ve been waiting on)!
Step-by-Step Process:
Phew! That was a lot of information. But the real question is, how do you use the Real-time rating feature correctly? Don’t worry, it’s a piece of cake! Let’s begin…
Scanning a Product:
- Press on the “Scan” button.
- Use the app’s camera to identify the barcode of your product.
- Once the app identifies the product’s barcode, you will have the option to press the SUBMIT & VIEW RATING button to continue the process.
- Once you have pressed the SUBMIT & VIEW RATING button, you will then be taken to a form where you can complete the submission process. There, the product name and brand name will already be filled in. All you have to do is add the product’s photos and a picture of the ingredients!
- Once you are done filling in the form, press SUBMIT.
6. (This is where the magic happens): After you have pressed SUBMIT, you will automatically be taken to your results. There, you will find the rating of your product and can access the Ingredient breakdown.
Searching for your Product:
- Press on the Search bar.
- Next, press on either the Keyword or barcode tab and search for your product via keyword or UPC.
- If your product is not found and you hit a dead end, you will see a button appear titled SUBMIT & VIEW RATING.
- Once you press the SUBMIT & VIEW RATING button, you will be redirected to a form where you can fill in your product’s information.
- Once you have filled in the necessary information, you can press SUBMIT.
- After pressing the SUBMIT button, you are once again taken to the results screen right away. There, you will find the rating of your product and can access the Ingredient breakdown!
Editing your Submitted Product:
- Press on the History icon on the bottom tab of your screen
- Press on the top tab titled Products Submitted
- If you wish to edit a newly submitted product, press the EDIT button
- You will then be redirected to a form where all your product details were entered the first time. There, you can edit any field you want to your liking! After you have finished editing, you can press SUBMIT.
- After you have pressed SUBMIT, you will be taken to the Product Submitted tab again in History. You may find an updated rating, product name, image, or brand name there.
- If you wish to view more details, press VIEW PRODUCT next to the EDIT button.
- The VIEW PRODUCT button will take you to the results screen, where you will find both the rating and Ingredient breakdown!
Viewing Rating of Old Submitted Products:
- Press on the History icon of the bottom tab of your screen
- Press on the top tab titled Products Submitted
- Some of the products you submitted as a nonpremium user will now display a button titled SLIDE TO VIEW RATING. Press that button while sliding your finger to the right.
- Then, the rating of your old products will appear!
Oh my, we are finally done! Anyways, if you wish to get the rating and Ingredient breakdown of any cosmetic or beauty product, use the Real-Time rating feature!
