The Feeling Of Reaching Your Goal
#287 Write down a big goal of mine and reverse-engineer it
One of the most exciting parts of blogging is to write under pressure. To create something with almost no time, yet, you get something out of it.
What makes this possible is to get over your mental barriers. If you begin to think too much, then you will get stuck. Instead, just go on your intuition and begin to write.
Writing can have a big impact on yourself and other people. Today I decided to use this impact on one of my biggest goals.
I began to write what it would look like the moment before I reached the goal. The colors, the environment, the people etc. After that, I began to write in detail what it will look like when I reach the goal.
The more details you can create around your goal, the easier it will be to reach. All the sudden you know what to look for, and when you’ve reached the goal.
As well, when you start to reverse-engineer your goal, you will be able to go from the end to the present moment. In this way, you will be able to understand how today’s actions will impact your goal. Are you moving in the right direction?
“You control your future, your destiny. What you think about comes about. By recording your dreams and goals on paper, you set in motion the process of becoming the person you most want to be. Put your future in good hands — your own.” — Mark Victor Hansen
Sit down for 30–60 minutes and write down in detail what your goal looks like. Then move backward with details until this moment. All the sudden, you have a clear action plan in front of you.
