Hello dear human, sorry for not writing for so long. I was caught up with life and a lot of thinking and decision making concerning how to build and grow the senpai collective. I have written a lot of drafts but never posted any of them as well because I was trying to figure out what I wanted to write about.
LIVING A HAPPIER LIFE AS A CREATIVE š
Being a creative person comes with a lot of perks,
- You are weird as fuck
- You donāt fit into the systems
- You have to deal with being told you need to be ānormalā
- You are rebellious.
- You are probably reckless and headstrong
- You find it annoying having to interact with humans
But above all being creative means you are fearless, donāt care about the systems and you are trying to express your views on the world.

This leads to a lot of things that would make you vulnerable to the outside world, and how you maneuver it would affect how happy you will end up.
Here are a couple of things you need to know to live a happier life as a creative
BE SELF AWARE, learn how to meditate.
Only the self-aware have the ability to actually change the world.
Being self-aware means that at all points you are fully aware of your current emotional state and why itās happening, you donāt let your emotions control your actions as you tend to be in full control, and you are fully aware of your strengths and weaknesses.

Learning to become more self aware starts with accepting who you are, loving yourself and discovering more about yourself gradually. This a journey every creative should take very early in their lives.
You will never be perfect, stop judging yourself.
We tend to strive for perfection as creatives but most times we limit ourselves with the idea that we are not perfect yet.
A whole lot of what I do is document and show my works and process without judgment, I create and let loose into the world, collect feedback and create some more.
Donāt get attached to your creations, there is always room for improvement
Everything you make can be improved upon. Be very open to that fact and be open to change and improvement.
Having this mindset gives you the speed and flexibility need to grow fast in any creative field. You gain to the ability to constantly improve your skills without getting attached to any of the products but instead focusing on the opportunities to learn in all that you do.
Learn business skills, donāt be a starving artist.
You love creating art but creating art isnāt really going to put food on the table. which is why you have to supplement it with some business skills so you can learn how to sell your creativity and making a living from it.
This isnāt really hard, you could get a business book. I would recommend the The Win Without Pitching Manifesto ā Blair Enns. You could spent time watching TheFutur their youtube content is a must watch for every creative.
Trust the process, Patience
You have to remember that the journey is its own reward and not the outcome. Things come when they do, trust the process.
It takes time to actually achieve the things you may have set out to achieve but always trust the process and keep doing what you can, you will get yours.
If you are good enough you will win
You are going to die, we all are.
When you come to terms with your death you remember to live.
In the end we all only have a moment to enjoy this crazy thing called life. why not make a dent in the world? A Lot of things dont matter in the end. all that would matter is if you did the things you really wanted to do and if you lived a happy life.
