The Power of Brand Building

As time has gone on and marketing and brand building has developed with the internet, building a brand digitally has really become central when wanting to start your own company.

Going digital is nearly essential nowadays since COVID-19 rocked the planet, causing everything to go online to an irreversible level. Sure, things will go back in person (and they have), but new online platforms have made brands more accessible than they ever have been.

Forbes details that “It’s never been easier to. bring a brand to market.”, which basically tells us that the internet is making it super easy to spread content with minimal effort. Forbes continues saying, “digital and social media provide the means to get new products in front of customers quickly and easily.” which further promotes the idea that going digital is easier and gets a brand spread faster.

After reading an interview done with John Battelle, he touched on a few reasons that branding online could be difficult. One reason he listed was the ROI being completely thrown off. Since there are so many platforms and formats for advertising (TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram), it makes it difficult to calculate the cost of pushing the brand out and in turn getting that reward in profit and engagement.
