The 2024 DTI Bagong Pilipinas National Trade Fair (NTF), themed “Go Green! Go Local!” is set for August 21 to 25 at the Megatrade Halls of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.

This year, the NTF emphasizes the nation’s dedication to sustainability and innovation, featuring special pavilions that showcase the best products from MSMEs across the country.

“The 2024 DTI-Bagong Pilipinas National Trade Fair is set to be a landmark event that will significantly contribute to the promotion and commercialization of sustainable, high-quality Filipino products on both the national and international stage,” said the Department of Trade and Industry Acting Secretary Cristina A. Roque.

What’s in store for fair-goers? Here is an overview of the special settings and pavilions at the NTF:

Philippine Sustainability Pavilion

This premier feature displays high-value products made from Philippine bamboo, natural fibers, and native grass. Showcased is a carefully curated selection of artisanal and eco-friendly products, ranging from woven textiles and fashion accessories to home décor and furniture. This pavilion also highlights technologies from the DOST-FPRDI, PhilFIDA, and DOST-PTRI, showcasing their contributions to transforming natural materials into commercial quality products.

Coconut Philippines Pavilion

Focusing on innovative coconut-based products, this pavilion promotes a sustainable approach beneficial to both coconut farmers and manufacturers. The display includes coconut oil, medical patches for wound treatment, cosmetics, and more, sourced from farmers’ associations under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan.

Obra Pavilion

Featuring the creative outputs of the Obra Design Masterclass Scholars from the Philippine Trade Training Center, this pavilion brings to life innovative and sustainable product designs for homes, offices, and commercial spaces.

KAPEtirya Coffee Pavilion

Dive into the world of Philippine coffee, where a diverse range of coffee products and local delicacies are paired to deliver a unique tasting experience. This pavilion celebrates the rich coffee culture of the Philippines and promotes local coffee producers.

RAPID Growth Project Pavilion

This space is dedicated to products from farmer-beneficiaries of the DTI’s RAPID Growth (Rural Agro-Industrial Partnership for Inclusive Development and Growth)Project, promoting agri-entrepreneurship and economic opportunities for rural communities.

Innovation and Services Cluster

An information hub featuring government agencies and private sector partners offering free consultations on services and technologies to support MSMEs, farmers, and consumers. Notable participants include the DA-Philippine Coconut Authority, DOST, DTI, GCash, and J&T Express.

These special settings not only highlight the rich cultural heritage and innovative spirit of the Philippines but also aim to create substantial business opportunities for local entrepreneurs.
