Answered: Transgender People Are Biologically… What?
To misunderstand this question is to put lives at risk.
I’ll say up front, that’s not a clickbait headline. I’m going to give an honest answer.
(And no, you don’t need to be a medical specialist these days to know what that answer is, at least at a very basic level. You do, however, need to listen to them.)
But first let’s establish that, more than anything, transgender people are biologically people. Keep that in mind, everything else goes a lot smoother.
Consider this:
A person born with a penis and testicles, who has one X and one Y chromosome, and identifies as transgender and opts for medical treatments to match her body to her gender, is (or was born) biologically male.
Do a search, you’ll find claims like this all over the place.
Is it true? Nope.
“But wait, I thought ‘sex is biological but gender is cultural’.”
