Thirst Studios achieves B-Corp certification

We’ve done it! We are proud to announce that Thirst Studios has been awarded B-Corp certification.

As of today, Thirst Studios, a leading user experience (UX) and service design company based in Melbourne has officially become a certified B-Corporation. B-Corps are for-profit companies certified by the non-profit B-Lab to meet a higher standard of transparency, accountability, social and environmental performance, harnessing the skills of the business to solve social problems. We are excited to become part of an amazing community of purpose driven businesses.

As a design studio, Thirst Studios values creating real social and environmental impact through its work.

“We have a strong focus on design, usability, web standards and accessibility,” says founder and technical director Andrew Gunstone. “We believe that being a strong and focused company gives us a great opportunity to do more, and offer more to our local community. We invest in volunteering, buying local and ethically, workplace diversity and inclusion, and a commitment to reducing our environmental footprint. As our tagline suggests, for us it’s all about ‘Thinking responsibly’, on both a local and global level.”

To earn the certification, Thirst Studios has gone above and beyond its business duties: the impact of their decisions on their employees, suppliers, community, consumers, and environment has been considered to gain the certification.
