In Australia, you can apply for a police check, also known as a police clearance certificate or criminal history check, through the Australian Federal Police (AFP).

Here’s how you can apply for a police check in Australia:

  1. Visit the AFP’s website and select the “Apply for a National Police Check” option.
  2. Follow the instructions to create an account and begin your application. You will need to provide personal information, such as your name, date of birth, and current address.
  3. Select the purpose of your police check and provide any relevant details, such as the name of your employer or the organization that is requesting the check.
  4. Upload any required documents, such as identification documents or consent forms.
  5. Pay the fee for the police check using a credit card or debit card. The fee is currently $42.00 AUD for most purposes.
  6. Submit your application and wait for the results. The AFP will process your application and send you a copy of your police check by mail or email, depending on your preference.

It is important to note that the process for obtaining a police check in Australia may vary slightly depending on the state or territory in which you reside. You may need to provide additional documentation or follow a different process if you are applying from outside of Australia.
