POLITICAL WRITING

How Political Writers and Publications Can Make an Impact

Now we really do need to make a difference

Many publications post political articles. However, the majority of their readers tend to agree with the perspectives in these articles. This poses a challenge for those of us political writers who want to reach a wider audience.

As a political writer, I want to engage with readers who are not already interested in politics. I want to persuade these readers to support a government “of the people, by the people, for the people.” As I’m sure you also want to do.

There are two ways that we, as political writers, can reach a wider audience than those who already know we now have a government “of billionaires, by billionaires and for billionaires.”

When posting in general-interest publications

We can submit our articles to pubs that normally post about personal development, new technology, business successes, and the like if we can hook into their readers’ interests. Think personal development when society is on the brink. Consider new AI technology being developed to spy on people, how to compete with Walmart if you’re a small-business owner, and the like.
