Putting Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” scam into plain English

Who in their right mind would want to read about the budget bill that Republicans in Congress are tinkering with? Its official title (this is not satire, but for realz) is the “Big Beautiful Bill” (in honor of Trump’s Big Beautiful Brain… that is satire, FYI).

You would rather have Tabasco sauce poured into your eyes than read about the details of that bill, right?

I understand. So, I’m going to tell you about it, but analyze it through a metaphor. I’m going to discuss the “fiscal responsibility” of Republicans as if it were the finances of a family. A very particular sort of family. A fairly well-off family whose daddy will (in a little less than four years) be running off to the Bahamas with his mistress, leaving his family (that would be America) financially high and dry.
