Boasberg ruled on March 15th, ordering Trump officials to return to America all planes carrying deportees to CECOT, the infamous El Salvadoran prison cum concentration camp. The judge accused the Trump regime of hijacking deportees under the Alien Enemies Act last month, denying them the due process that is their right to challenge their removal in court.
He further accused the regime of disregarding his order that the planes already in the air must return to the United States. On April 15, the judge “found probable cause to hold the Trump administration in criminal contempt of court.” Boasberg issued a stark warning that he could pursue prosecution of the regime’s officials for violating his orders.
The judge said he could hold hearings to refer the issue for prosecution. Boasberg went so far as to warn that if the regime’s DOJ leadership refuses to pursue prosecution, he would appoint another attorney to do so.
