CHILD SEX TRAFFICKING
It’s Not About the “Epstein Files;” It’s About the “Rape of Children”
Words matter
Donald Trump said his birthday letter to Epstein didn’t exist. Then we all saw it. Then he said he didn’t write it. What was the “wonderful secret” he wrote about in that letter? We know what it was.
Epstein’s financial records show $1.5 billion in transactions that the banks involved described as “suspicious.” Donald Trump’s transportation secretary won’t release the details to the Senate. Do these records include transactions from and to Donald Trump? We know they do.
First, it was “Yeah, yeah, I would” release the Epstein files. Then, it was “Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein?” Finally, it was the “Jeffrey Epstein hoax.” Is it a hoax? Of course not. We know that.
What is to be done about Trump’s secrets and lies?
I have a suggestion that is right out of our would-be dictator’s how-to book on keeping secrets and telling lies. My how-to book would be different, though. It would be about revealing secrets and telling the truth.
Now, I know many of you might not like my book because, so far, there’s not enough evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law that Donald Trump wrote the letter, paid money to or received money from Epstein, or is in the Epstein files.
But evidence may not matter even if we get all the evidence in the world. The conservative members of the Supreme Court these days seem to care only about supporting Trump rather than upholding the Constitution.
In any case, we know already that Trump is a would-be dictator. Forestalling a dictator before he destroys our country is an end that, to my mind, justifies at least some means. And protecting children is paramount.
So, instead of talking about the “wonderful secret,” call it what it is: “child sex trafficking.”
Instead of haggling about the “suspicious” nature of financial records, call it what it is: “money used to buy and sell children to be used for sex.”
Instead of waiting for the Epstein files to be released, with the conclusive evidence of what we know already, call it what it is: abduction, assault, abuse, molestation, perversion, violation.
“The rape of children.”
Words matter
Tell the truth, tell it loud, tell it often, and even Trump supporters may come to believe it. And maybe even do something decent to prevent it from happening again.
Also, release the Epstein files, of course.
