A Writer’s Thoughts and Feelings on a Journey through Honshu, Part 2
What is this feeling that I haven’t witnessed for a long time, here between tigers that are swimming in gold and flat noodles that are sold down the road? Is this the end of an era while I’m sitting here by myself, sipping coffee, lost in thoughts? If things keep moving like this, where will I end up going?
How can it be that in Nagoya the sun is rising while the world is still spinning, while my head is still spinning, while I am still spinning around to find a moment of belonging?
But then…
Happiness has many faces. Here it gleams again between a spaceship, a porcelain garden, a car manufacturer. I smile back. Suddenly full of joy. For what else is there to do on a cold and sunny morning like this?
