Season you left me

Season you left me

And suddenly they speak of bloom

If I could feel cherry petals on my face

Through wind’s hand of love

I would know that you are here

Yet your absence makes it cutting

Scars that I’d have left behind

Like flowers they are coming from me

So why is that if I am a thing of beauty

Mirroring decay in your eyes

You wouldn’t replace my sadness

Draw my soul with branches

Color my spirit with leaves

For the ones I love to seek a haven

Under the warmth of my tears

Your leaving left kindness for others

Softening an unimaginable hate

Please come back

And meet me on the path of entangled hearts

So you will see how it is

To be season and soul again
