You Are My Guides

Darling, Beautiful Children,

I want you to know that all 3 of you are the most amazing people I have ever met.

I want you to know that I choose my friends very carefully, I would choose you as my friends for life.

I want you to know that each of you have given me gifts that I could never ever buy because such gifts are simply not available and if they were I would have to rob all the banks in the world and still not have enough!

I want you to know that you are the most important people in the world because you are the reason my world exists.

I want you to know that life is an adventure, that life gives us only what we can handle, that nothing is too difficult or too easy. Enjoy the adventure!

I want you to know that there is nothing to fear, when you are afraid, know that fear is a different form of love. Therefore, we feel some form of love all the time.

I want you to know that when you feel fear or disappointment or anger it is normal and it’s ok. Accept these feelings, just as you accept joy, laughter and success and then let the feelings, good or bad pass by you with respect and acknowledgement. Just as we cannot capture time and bottle it up, neither can we capture and bottle up our feelings. We must leave space in ourselves for new time and new feelings.

I want you to know that none of us have all the answers, and it is a good thing that we do not.

I want you to know that I have a deep respect for who you are, who you will become and who you have always been.

I want you to know that, whatever you wish to have and be in life is POSSIBLE. You are BIG beings, you have the abilities and the fortitude to have WHATEVER your HEART wants. If you can think it, you can also hold it in your hands. Butterflies, Red cars, 97%’s on physics tests….IT IS POSSIBLE.

I want you to know that I learn from you every moment..

You teach me patience, you teach me forgiveness and compassion, you teach me tolerance, you show me unconditional love, you make me WANT to be the best mum and a better person for you, you teach me to laugh, you teach me to cry, you teach me to BE, you teach me again and again all the things that I unlearned while I was “growing up”. At some point I stopped “growing up”. Thankfully, my sweet children, I have not fully grown up, and, truth be told I do not wish to be grown up.

I am so happy that I have such wonderful teachers in the three of you.

I want you to know that I am teaching you too

The TWO things I wish you to learn are as follows:

First,

The being you are deep down inside is the most fantastic being. There is nothing to change — only to learn and experience.

ALWAYS BE AND LIVE BEING TRUE TO THAT PERSON DEEP DOWN INSIDE YOU. IF YOU CANNOT BE TRUE TO YOURSELF, LOVE YOURSELF, BE YOURSELF, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, then you cannot be true to anyone or anything.

This life you have, it is given to you in the form of your body, your body is the vessel that carries and holds your heart , mind and soul. Treat your body like a beautiful, expensive gift that cannot be bought. Take care of it, be kind to it, and love it BECAUSE inside your body is YOU. Your body is HOME for YOU. Make it a beautiful place for you to LIVE, LEARN, LAUGH, LOVE. ALWAYS.

Remember that fear and anger are also different forms of love. Embrace it all and then let it be, let it pass, let it go.

Second, there are ONLY 3 THINGS that we do in life that matter:

Good Words, Good Thoughts, Good Deeds.

Let these words guide you throughout your life.

Thank you my children for who you are and for enriching my life beyond me.

You are my guides, you are my loves, you are everything.

I would like to end my letter to you with an ancient Navajo Indian Prayer for you to say and live by if you wish:

The word Beauty used in this prayer here has a deeper meaning — it means beauty and it means harmony between all relationships: people, places, mother nature, animals, the universe. We are all CONNECTED to the vast energies in our universe- we MUST remain connected to be happy, to have wisdom and to LIVE… really LIVE.

May You Walk In Beauty.
