Announcing This is HCD Prague and Brno— Let’s start a human-centered-design movement!
Late in 2019, I announced on Talking Shop with Andy Polaine, Adrienne Tan and Dr. John Curran that one of the exciting new initiatives that This is HCD was working on for 2020, was focussing on enabling our global audience to connect to form deeper relationships with one and another and connect over the common goal of ‘doing good’ through opening local chapters in cities around the world.
So far we have announced Sydney, Melbourne, Dublin, Berlin, Buenos Aires, San Francisco and now we are so excited to add our very first Eastern Europe Chapters — in Prague and Brno!

About David and Stride XL
David started his career in design back in 2003 as a freelance UX designer. Three years later he co-founded an agency Adbros Digital. After a few successful years in the agency business, he decided to learn the other perspective of business too and started doing big things from inside of some top-tech international companies. Later on, he spent 6 years with Oracle Netsuite, Business Innovation Centre of Konica Minolta, and Kiwi.com in design and innovation leadership roles.
However, his ambitions, drive, and commitment to meaningfulness made him leave the corporate world. In 2017 David co-founded Stride XL.
Stride XL is a companion of top-notch design, research and innovation experts working together under a single brand. The team helps companies to create successful business models, products and services while delivering a positive impact to organisation’s culture, employee competence, our Planet and society.
Stride XL operates globally, having the workforce spread over three locations (Praha, Brno and Bratislava) and looking for setting up new branches in Europe and Northern America.
