Mt. Pleasant is more than a hot real estate market to me; it’s my home. My husband, Chris, and I have lived here for twelve years, my two older children attend Bancroft Elementary, and we trick-or-treat on Lamont Street every Halloween. Here are some of my favorite spots in Mt. Pleasant.

Each Peach Market — I love to wander through the beautiful displays of gorgeous produce and homemade products. It’s like our own homegrown Dean & Deluca.

Beau Thai — Awesome Thai food for the whole family.

The Zoo — We can hear the lions roar from our front porch!

Don Juan’s — We love to sit outside and nosh on some Salvadoran food.

Bancroft Elementary — A wonderful cross-section of our neighborhood and city. I love that my kids go to a bilingual school and that we can walk to school every day.

Adams Morgan — Although technically another neighborhood, one of the best things about Mt. Pleasant is the ability to walk to Adams Morgan, where we can eat at amazing restaurants like Tail Up Goat and Mintwood Place or work out at [solidcore].
