Now that we stand on the cusp of the release of the The Treasury Playbook, Drop 2, it’s absolutely necessary for us to take a look at the financial standing of our community so that we can start making the power moves required to create the massive breakthroughs we’re all showing up to this exciting game for.

This Is Nouns and this is our baby: it’s a perfect promise, a precious possibility, and a glimmer of brilliance we’re vowing to nurture with care and dedication until it becomes an unstoppable force of nature that will take the world by storm and vindicate with panache the visionary degen ethos of our community.

We have very high ambitions for this gifted baby.

Now, it’s been wisely said that it takes a village to meet the needs of a developing person so they can grow to the fullness of their potential; so, what shall we then say of innovative projects and their complex needs?

What will it take for This Is Nouns to catch major fire, beat the odds, and become the celebrated stuff of NFT legends we already know it can be?

It will take a serious and continuous dose of resources and coordination.

Allow me to quickly share with you the aggregate view of the expenses that have already been made to pave the way for TiN’s growth and greatness:

1. $7,125 — Servers, tooling, and infrastructure: to build the marketplace, our innovative AI-powered incentive system, The Kingmaker Protocol, and all the web3 goodness we’ve got cooking,
2. $5,000 — Preproduction: for our first media production,
3. $33,900 — Payroll and administrative costs: to compensate talent and run operations,

$46,025 — Total Expenses as of March 22nd 2023

These costs have been covered solely by Jesse Morningstar so far.

Now take a look at the upcoming costs for the next 2 weeks (March 23rd to April 4th):

1. $8,000 — Marketing budget
2. $1,200 — Smart contracts deployment budget (ERC20 utility token)
3. $1,960 — payroll and administrative costs
4. $35,000 to $70,000 — smart contracts audits

Indeed, the bills and expenses are growing.

This project is quickly evolving beyond the ability of two individuals to cover all these expenses out of pocket and singlehandedly. And indeed it will take more than a village to propel TiN to the most coveted heights of NFT glory: it’ll take something more like a village squared.

Part II: A Multisig is born

We are activating strategy number two from The Treasury Playbook, receiving direct contributions from the community to provide the funding necessary to boost the core value creation efforts that have already been initiated as well as to establish the basic pool of resources required to enable collective decision-making.

Here’s everything you need to know about this multisig:

1. It’ll be a 7 of 10 multisig that will control the community’s treasury,
2. We’ll build our treasury from direct contributions from community members and make history by pioneering a lightweight and ultra-flexible treasury formation model in the Nouns ecosystem,
3. So feel free to send your contribution to the following address:

4. The top 7 biggest contributions from the community will automatically be selected to be on the multisig since they will have invested more skin in the game,
5. Everybody else who interacts with this address by contributing any amount whatsoever will automatically qualify for The Trinity Airdrop.

Part III: The Trinity Airdrop

To ensure a vibrant culture of meritocracy based on ongoing contributions a perpetual airdrop will continuously run to distribute the community’s utility token which also powers the community’s incentive mechanism. The airdrop’s function is to maximize in real time the quality and value of interactions community members create with each others.

Here’s how this whole thing is set up to work:

1. The This Is Nouns community is a collectors-focused branch of the Nouns ecosystem whose treasury is dedicated to accumulating a very large volume of blue chip NFTs for the purpose of distributing them directly to community members at regular intervals,
2. A utility token with special mathematical properties will control this distribution process by automatically creating a continuously growing candidate pool from which 3 community members at a time will be fairly and automatically selected to receive a blue chip NFT each,
3. The issuance of this utility token will be managed in real-time by an artificial intelligence engine which will be trained to identify and incentivize value-creating inputs (VCIs) provided by community members. These VCIs range from informative/interesting interactions happening in both text and voice channels in our Discord, to ETH transfers to the treasury, and much more.

This mechanism will be explained in detail in an upcoming drop of The Treasury Playbook but the bottom line is that we’ve designed an advanced incentive mechanism to guarantee that your presence, interactions, and contributions in the community are rewarded with a special ERC 20 token that functions as a sortition ticket that controls the distribution of blue chip NFTs acquired by the treasury, and you’ll accumulate these tickets in real time as you show up in ways that inject good vibes and help the community build a bigger treasury.

This incentive mechanism will create an insanely powerful flywheel that stimulates interactions and contributions that grow the treasury to accumulate more blue chip NFTs which will then be distributed to the community thanks to an intelligent system that reinforces these interactions and therefore accelerates the growth of the treasury.
