They called him the Frankford Slasher- the serial killer who ripped his victims’ bodies open and abandoned his victims in sexual positions after removing their clothing.

When locals learned of Helen Patent’s murder, they knew she would never consent to go to a hidden, dark location with a stranger. They theorized that the 52-year-old knew the person that led her to the train yard and stabbed her to death.

She lay naked from the waist down, with her blouse opened to expose her breasts. Her body had 19 gashes, including a slash across the abdomen that was so deep it exposed her internal organs.

Helen’s former husband, Kermit Patent, identified her body. The pair were no longer married but shared a home in the suburbs.
