Publicity Stunt: The most out-of-this-world selfies are those taken on space walks by astronauts at the International Space Station. Korean cell phone maker Samsung wanted in on the act. The company launched a “satellite” (really a platform lifted by a balloon from South Dakota) with a phone on board, and a camera pointed at it. Participants could send their photo to the “mission control” web site and, if selected, it would be shown on the phone screen and photographed, with the curvature of Earth shown in the background.
