Sunday Evening Musing: Donald Glover give back my heart

Time for some Sunday evening musing, and since I have little to energy to write a “Advertising Community College”, I have decided to stop adulting to revisit my love for Donald Glover (Troy Barnes, Childish Gambino) while melting to his voice, as I lay on my hard wood floor, and imagine us trying to navigate through the world as two awkward creatures.

So I have this recurring crush on Donald Glover, even when my friends never understood why I liked his music, the harsh sounds Royalty, to the melodic warm Friday after school tunes of Camp, to the slow vibey beach sounds of Kauai.

Or never found Community funny, even though “Troy and Abed” were you and your best friend behind closed doors.

Or found his love for Spiderman to be a silent mating call. Yes, this gave me a geek boner, now leave me alone.

I will never shake this fan girl crush, and once in a while, I revisit my Childish Gambino playlist, and remind myself that at the age of 18 my thirst was real, and I had to reel myself in. I was giving of Tina (Bob’s Burger) meets Jimmy Junior vibes, and it was not cute. Now I am 23, and have to remind myself that I am grown as fuck, and need to get over this awkward sexy black man.

This is my winter Sunday musing, I am done, I know leave you with apart of me, that wishes tomorrow was not Monday, and a man that I will never have, singing a song I will always love.
