A few days ago I happened to watch a Malayalam movie named “The Great Indian Kitchen.” This movie blew my mind. It has portrayed the character of people in the true sense.
The movie revolved around the villages and underdeveloped parts of India where women are still treated like a piece of trash. They don’t get the respect and the right to live with dignity. If they would ask about pursuing a career or applying for a job, they would be asked to leave the abode or might be killed for showing such daringness.
After watching this movie, I thought about my domestic violence marriage. I was going through something similar for a long time until I finally decided to move out of it.
