He's looking for a glimmer of light
in complete gloom
he keeps digging for a diamond
Not knowing it's just a grave for another dream.

He finds love in hate, goodness in greed.
For him a wall is a gate
But, the world has other plans indeed.

The abyss is beautiful to him,
Says universe is not a lonely place
So many souls together swim in infinite space.

He thinks stars are just dead humans
Knows which one is whom.
But everything is in movement
And all we do is hitch a ride through time
Everything goes to a ditch
A ditch so sublime.

The only crime he’d done was hope
Hope for a better day,
But to his dismay,
Wishes are not granted, they are always taken away.
