Anime Art Studio Atelier BWCA will Close Due to its Director’s Illness
Atelier BWCA’s website announced that it would be closing its doors in February due to its director’s, Hidetoshi Kaneko, illness. According to Anime News Network:
Atelier BWCA was founded in 1986, and was named after the “bwca,” the Welsh version of the Brownie from Scottish folklore. The studio has worked on background and art design for such anime as Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash, Aiura, Psychic School Wars, Yawara! A Fashionable Judo Girl, Mob Psycho 100, Record of Lodoss War, Love Live! The School Idol Movie, Mōryō no Hako, Terror in Resonance, My Neighbor Totoro, and Magic of Stella, among many others. Kaneko has served as art director on many of the projects the studio has worked on.
