On March 4th, Anime News Network reported that Kenjirou Hata’s Hayate the Combat Butler would end in six chapters, and, yesterday, the release date for the final volume of the manga was revealed to be April 12th — the release date for Weekly Shonen Sunday’s 20th volume.

Hata launched the manga in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in 2004, and Shogakukan published the manga’s 50th volume on February 17. Viz Media published the manga’s 29th volume in North America on February 14.

The manga has inspired four television anime seasons in 2007, 2009, 2012, and 2013, as well as a three-episode OVA in 2014. The manga also inspired the Hayate the Combat Butler! Heaven Is a Place on Earth anime film in 2011.
