San Francisco, September 6, 2018 — We are elated to continue adding talented minds to our Advisory Board! This time, we’ve brought on Nick Alexander, the co-founder of Yoshi, a GM- and Exxon Mobile-backed nationwide car care service.

“We are on the precipice of our next phase as we move from building products to getting them in the hands of people in need,” said David Chin, CEO and co-founder of Thor. “Nick is a savvy business builder whose current project, Yoshi, is exactly the kind of company that could use Odin, our upcoming contractor management portal. His insight will be invaluable as we hone the final details of Odin’s UX and UI and we are thrilled to have him on board.”

Nick’s addition to our Advisory Board, like that of Ray Davila before it, is crucial in our progression as a company. These are the kind of businessmen that we expect to be using Odin to manage contractors in the near future — as well as implement Thor Lightning Pay™ not too long after. Utilizing their real-world experience now will allow us to ensure that Odin, and other products down the line, are tailor-made for our potential customers before they ever even see them.

“As the owner of a tech startup that works with independent contractors, I’m well aware of the dearth of effective contractor management tools available on the market,” explained Alexander. “This is a major annoyance for my company and others like it, creating excessive entry work that is unnecessarily tedious. If I can help Thor fix this issue, I know that my employees will be happier and my company will run more efficiently — what more could a business owner want?”

Nick’s first entrepreneurial venture was as the Founder and CTO of Google-Ventures backed Freshplum in 2011. Freshplum was acquired by TellApart in 2014. He then went on to found Yoshi a year later. Nick also moonlights as an advisor for CS183F Startup School MOOC with Y-Combinator.
