We Replaced Excel for Krah
For a long time, Krah Pipes used Excel to generate and store information. This permeated every area of the business, from recording quality assurance data, to producing schedules for employees, managing clients’ orders and the recording and calculation of money spent on spares. Krah specifically requested from our team an alternative method that they could use to manage incoming and outgoing data that was simple, quick to use and created an awesome, seamless user experience. They wanted the worry of data loss taken off their hands. Data loss is always a concern when there are multiple users sharing files, as is often the case with the Excel setup.

These were synced with the client’s CRM. The crons take place at quite short intervals, while any syncing can be initiated manually. To overcome any difficulties, our development team managed to ensure that updated orders, changes to orders and cancelled orders could be successfully managed.
Schedule planning
As the orders involved custom made products in varying quantities, planning becomes a vital part of the process, so it was essential for our team to create an advanced drag-and-drop interface which involved an automated planner tool for cherry-picking dates/times/products per day, etc.
Pipeline + production levers
Each product produced ends up in the pipeline and the managers get to see the result. The workers only see the part that they are involved in producing. They go through a series of set processes, which involve initiating, pausing, resuming and finishing production. They don’t get to see anything else.
Quality management
Once the products are made, some get directed to the quality management department to be measured for quality. There are different fault codes allocated, depending on the extent to which the product has matched up to expectations.
