Dear Thortspace … How do I share multiple spheres at the same time?

I did four spheres and then a parent sphere. I have shared a link to parent sphere. Do I need to do something with embedded spheres so that my colleagues can work on them?

Unfortunately there is currently no way of sharing multiple spheres with a single user-action.

So you have to go the sharing lists of each of the embedded spheres and share each sphere, one at a time, with the people you want to give access to.

For example, if you have spheres embedded spheres “A” “B” and “C” embedded in parent sphere “S”, and you have people in your project X Y and Z, you will have to go the sharing list for A and add users X Y and Z and then go to the sharing list for B and add users X Y and Z and so on. Or else provide join link to the sphere (see below).

Each user can be given either read-write or read-only access to each sphere (or no access at all).

You can share spheres with people in three different ways, each which have some advantages and some disadvantages, and each of which may suit different types of user, and their tastes in software use.

Sharing by clicking switches on a friendslist, is possibly the most convenient (see below), but that method does require that you and your friends have previously connected their Facebook accounts to their Thortspace accounts. How to do that is shown on the article on the link at the bottom of this page.

(1) Share by typing in an email address

This method requires you to know the email address which your friend or colleague used when they set up their Thortspace account.

If the email account you add is not already a Thortspace account, the colleague will receive an email inviting them to register a Thortspace account prior to joining the sphere.

(2) Share via Join links

Or you could provide join links to people — slightly more convenient, but less easy to control.

(3) Connect Thortspace to Facebook

A third thing you can do is ask each user to connect their facebook account to their thortspace account. If they have all done this, then you can add each user to the sphere just by ticking the box next to their name.

If you connect your facebook account to your Thortspace account, you can share spheres with people on your your friendslist who have done the same just by clicking the switch next to their name… see the article below.
