Dear Thortspace… some of my tabs and modes are missing
“watching skills videos enables functionality”
The short answer to the question of missing tabs and modes in the Thortspace App is to watch the built-in “skills” videos; once you have watched the video about a given tab or mode, that tab or mode becomes available in the interface.
The videos are about a minute long each, and can save you a lot of time by demonstrating the basic usage of each piece of functionality.
Our plan here was that new users of Thortspace would watch the corresponding video about each tab or mode, and then that tab or mode would become available. This was done so as to make the product more approachable.
However, if you think watching the skills videos is annoying, you can always skip the skills videos ! … here’s how to do that:
If you have watched the relevant skills video, and the tab or mode in question is still not showing in your thortspace app, check the following:
Either (1) Check that the corresponding skills video has its toggle
Or (2) Check the same setting via the User Settings dialog box, which is available from the button at the top of the home screen inside the app:
