If you go into present mode, lifting thorts does not select text.

You can then add a lifted thort view to a journey by clicking the +Journey button that appears when the thort is lifted. The thort drops down and the view step naming box appears when you click the button, but a lifted thort viewpoint will be added to the journey.

By the way, on desktop versions of Thortspace, you can make a series of thorts lift in Thortspace by pressing the <TAB> key.

Also the <RETURN> key alternately lifts a thort and puts it down again.
