A Project is essentially a Story — the story tells you why some particular outcome or state of affairs is preferable to some other outcome or state of affairs. Something is better than something else… That’s a project. That gives you a project. If you have that, you’ve got a project.
Life, we could say, is a project. Everything you do is part of a project. A project is defined by a goal eg. getting to Cornwall, or at least by a direction eg. travelling west.
For many years the archetypal example of project management software was Microsoft Project.
