Consumer’s block

I don’t believe in writer’s block.

Or singer’s block.

Or any other block that might be out there.

But what I do believe in is consumer’s block.

When you put in way too much information into your system without ever using any of it.

When all that information just piles up like garbage in the streets.

That’s consumer’s block.

When you’re so busy consuming (and being consumed by the things you consume) that you forget how to produce.

Which of course makes the people who produce stuff happy.

Why?

Just look around.

The people changing, impacting and ruling the world are the people who produce stuff.

The people who create stuff.

And not the people who consume stuff.

Because the things you consume will at one point start to consume you…
