Doing it for the money

How badly do you want to become a writer, a blogger an entrepreneur or whatever it is you’re dreaming about?

What are you really willing to sacrifice?

Because all of these things are about sacrifice. And nothing else.

They aren’t about making money.

They aren’t about freedom.

Or living the life you always wanted to live.

As a matter of fact they are almost always quite the opposite.

The average a writer makes with a hardcover book sold in a bookstore is about $1.

The average a self published writer makes with an ebook is around $300.

How much does the average blogger make? Basically nothing.

And most entrepreneurs have to shutdown their companies in the first five years.

And I guess that’s what they really mean when they say don’t do it for the money…
