Expect the best. Get ready for the rest..

by Yann Girard

With so much stuff happening these days, with economies struggling, with people losing their jobs, with a crisis here and a crisis there, people tend to expect the worst to happen.

But what’s going to happen when you always expect the worst to happen is that you’ll be panicking all the time.

And when you’re panicking all the time, you’ll be paralyzed. And then you won’t be able to do a thing. You’ll constantly be thinking about that worst case scenario.

And then you won’t be able to get ready for what might happen next. You won’t be prepared when the worst case scenario is really happening. Because you were busy panicking.

It’s equally bad to ignore all the bad things all the time. When you’re constantly thinking that it’s never going to happen to you. That you’re safe. Because then you won’t get ready for what might come next either.

What tends to be working best, is to always expect the best. And to get ready for the rest. To get ready for the worst case scenario.

Because what’s going to happen when you always expect the best is that you’ll have peace of mind and you’ll be calm and have enough time to think.

Time to think about that worst case scenario. Time to get ready for that worst case scenario. And time to prepare accordingly.

So every once in a while, try to expect the best because that’s how you’ll be able to get ready for the rest..
