Too many people wait for support.

„I can only do this, once x gives me y of support.“

But x will never support you.

Because x needs y for her own stuff.

Or for the stuff she knows will work out.

You know, the risk free stuff.

And x might give you y of support ONLY once you started.

Only once she sees that the stuff you do really works.

Only once she knows that you’re so passionate about it that you’d also do it without any support.

Only once she knows that you really believe in yourself. And not just in other people’s support.

Once she knows that you’re dead serious about it.

After all, she can use y to support many other things.

And the only way you’ll be able to get a piece of that y, of that support is to get going. First. Without any support.

I know. It’s risky. Doing something without support is always risky. And there’s no guarantee that it might work out. Ever.

But what’s really risky is to wait for support. Because you might end up wasting years and years waiting for that support.

In most cases support doesn’t come first.

What usually comes first is the doing. No, what has to come first.

It only works that way. And not the other way round.
