You don’t have to be rich to do what you want to do

You absolutely have to do what you want to do. Right now…

No matter how much or how little money you have. You have to do what you enjoy doing. Right now.

Because that’s the only way you’ll ever be satisfied. That’s the only way you’ll ever be happy. That’s the only way you’ll ever be able get what you deserve. Be it success. Money. Or whatever it is that you want.

If you constantly do things you don’t enjoy doing your energy levels will run low. Maybe even too low. Until your batteries can’t be recharged. Ever again.

Look. Only when you do the things you want to do and really enjoy doing will you be able to push through the tough times. Will you have enough energy to get back up again.

Only when you do the things you enjoy doing will you be able to be among the best of the best in your field.

Only when you do the things you really enjoy doing will work stop feeling like work.

A lot of people ask me how I’m able to do so much stuff. How I’m able to write so consistently. How I’m able to work on so many different things in parallel.

The simple truth is that I try to do as much of the things I enjoy doing. And I can do these things up to 16 hours a day without feeling tired. Without feeling annoyed. Simply because I enjoy doing these things.

Sure, 98% of the things I do right now are things that enable me to do that one thing I really enjoy doing.

I do a hell lot of stuff on the side to support my writing. Because I can’t make a living writing. But I’m totally fine with it, because all of the things I do on the side to pay the bills are somehow related to writing and help me to keep writing.

And I’m not saying that you should quit your job and only do the things you enjoy doing, like sitting on the couch and playing playstation. That’s total nonsense. Don’t quit your job. Do it on the side. Save as much money as possible.

And in case that one thing of yours, that one thing you enjoy doing might maybe one day generate some cash so you can pay your bills, then feel free to take the leap and quit your job. Or don’t. It’s up to you.

But the thing is that you can do whatever you want to be doing without being rich. Right now. I’m not rich. All I did was to follow my own advice. Well, actually, I didn’t really follow my own advice. I only came up with this stuff once I’ve done all of this. Once I’ve saved enough money to be able to quit my job.

I also tried the side hustle thing which didn’t really work out for me. Maybe it will work out for you. I don’t know. But what I do know is that it took a hell lot of time. And that it didn’t work from one day to the next. It took a few years. But you’ve gotta start.

And the most important thing right here and right now is that you start to realize that you don’t have to wait until you’re rich, until you have enough to do whatever it is that you want to do. Or say what you want to say. Or to be more honest.

You can do whatever you enjoy doing right now and right here.

If you think that you’ll need enough f*ck you money, then no money in the world will ever be enough for you to do or say what you want to say.

Because the truth is this…

You’ll never have or make enough f*ck you money if you keep doing things you don’t enjoy doing. Simply because doing things you don’t really enjoy doing and working with people you don’t really enjoy working with will always drain your energy.

And without that energy, you’ll never be able to make it to the top. You’ll never make it to your top. You’ll never become the best version of yourself. And that’s why waiting until you have enough will never work.

Only doing the things you enjoy doing will work. One step at a time. As a matter of fact, only doing the things you enjoy doing will help you to make enough.
