“You’ve changed”

This is probably the one phrase that means the end for so many things.

It’s basically just another way of saying “it’s over.”

These words mean the end of friendships. Relationships. Partnerships. You name it.

But what does this sentence really mean?

It means that someone changed and the other person didn’t. The person who didn’t change is mostly the one saying it.

But why is change such a bad thing? Isn’t change the exact same thing that got all of us where we are right now? Isn’t change, reinvention and innovation the only thing that will help all of us to get to the next stage? To level up?

I guess it is. But we all love security. And safety. So much.

In a world where nothing is safe anymore we crave stability even more so than we ever did before. So we cling to the things we know already. We don’t want things to change. We want things to stay the same. Forever.

Even if it might hold us back from progressing. From leveling up. From becoming a better person. From being able to tap into our strengths and unleash our true potential.

I know. It’s hard. Change is hard. But change is probably the only constant we’ll ever encounter in life. It’s the only thing that will always be there. So you might as well embrace it.

And whenever someone says “you’ve changed” you know what it really means.

You’re probably on the right path.

To where? To everywhere…
