In a previous post, I wrote about how one of our plants, a golden Pothos, would make anybody a wonderful first plant! It’s hardy, low maintenance, and the growth is very rewarding!

See below, the difference between just over a month.

Left was from June 8; Right is from July 17. Notice how the picture on the right almost touches the floor.

While this beautiful bundle of vines is relatively easy to keep alive, a lot goes into making it thrive! My girlfriend and I are careful to ensure it meets all of its needs.

Light

Our plant corner at around 7:00 PM in June

Our apartment is a south-facing corner apartment, so our plant corner gets a lot of bright light. The light closer to the windows are more direct, but the light on the opposite wall is not direct but still very bright.

This is perfect for Pothos!

Pothos love bright, indirect light. They can live in low light conditions but they won’t grow as well. If you want the encourage more variegation, then I’d recommend putting it closer to a window — though too much time…
