Our bodies stay healthy if we keep them up and moving. It saves us from numerous health problems like inflammation, obesity, strokes, weak immune system, body fat, and much more. However, the two biggest problems with digital creators are related to eyes (pain, allergy, and weak sight) and backbone pain from long working hours in front of computer screens.

Nowadays, the living style has changed. The work environment adds a lot to the living style. Ease of work and ease of tasks is becoming common in this techno world. People opt for smart work rather than hard work.

Smart work is based on sitting in front of laptops and screens for long hours. Long sitting has negative impacts on physical and mental health.

Remedial Actions

There is always a solution to all hitches. Here are some tips that will help one manage long sitting with positive impacts on physical and mental health.

1. Long sitting in front of computer screens may affect your eyes in different ways like eye pain, allergy, and weak eyesight. Therefore, we must take care of our eyes while sitting in front of screens for longer working hours.

i. The first thing we need to do is to add a protection screen that not only reduces the sharpness of screens but also protects from harmful rays as well.

ii. There are protection glasses that can be worn prior to working on computer screens.

iii. There are certain eye drops that are harmless but they save you from allergy or reddish eyes like rose water and Decon A etc. However, they should not be used without a doctor’s recommendation.

iv. The fourth method is to reduce the brightness and sharpness of your screen.

v. Change your focus from the screen after 20–30 minutes of continuous work.

vi. Always use the computer while turning on the light in the room. Do not sit in the dark while working on computers.

vii. There are certain devices (Anti-Radiation chips) that protect us from harmful radio waves and EMF (Electro Magnetic Flux) from our computers and cellular devices. You can search for them on Google and use them for your safety. a

2. The second issue is related to backbone pain. One should focus on his/her posture. A correct posture makes one work actively. Sitting in a correct posture assures alignment of all body parts. One can use lumbar support as a solution.

3. In addition to posture, one should focus on seat adjustment according to his/her body requirements. It requires adjustment of arms, elbows, and feet. One should use a footrest because the feet serve as a foundation for the entire body which helps in overall well-being.

4. Moreover, take short breaks. A normal body can stay in a static position for twenty minutes. One can take a short walk, stretch, sit or stand. It results in cleanness of mind and body which in turn makes the brain toil more energetically.

All the above-stated tips are proven very helpful. I have personally tried and got immediate helpful results.
