When in times of uncertainty

Doubt is like another version of fear.

Fear makes you afraid. When you have doubt, you’re uncertain, which gives you something to be afraid of. That is an uncertain situation, not knowing what’s going to happen if you choose to think and act in a certain way. So, there are decisions involved.

We actually know that things are capable of being worse, sad, painful, dangerous, terrifying, crazy, emotional, and many other things we don’t want in life. But doubt comes in and makes us fear how uncertainly we might experience one of those things.

Sadness isn’t better than pain, terrifying isn’t better than dangerous.

Doubts like to hang around because things are not guaranteed. But also, it’s hard to just tell people to stop doubting as a solution to this. I can’t accomplish it merely by telling myself to. It’s always better to understand things first than to react impulsively.

Understand why you’re feeling uncertain because you know there are reasons. Look for the truth about that doubt. Share your reasons for feeling uncertain with someone. Whatever way you prefer. Most of the time, I do confide in a friend through chat, even if she’s not active. Or better yet, talking in person and letting it all out.

From there, you’ll start realizing that doubt is slowly fading from your head because you’re beginning to understand things. You’re busy trying to process the reasons why you feel doubt in the first place.

You will either hear from that friend or the person you chose to confide in. Alternatively, they may provide you with advice on what to do and what to avoid. However, you should not base your decisions entirely on what they advise.

More importantly, in the midst of uncertainties, keep in mind that we do doubt life, but never ourselves.

Never say bad stuff about yourself. Never invalidate your feelings when you’re in doubt.

This is all based on my personal thoughts and what I do when I doubt things. I am not an expert on this topic or any other sort. I just wanted to put it out there and publish it.

Thank you so much for reading. I’m so happy because there are more than 100 of you who have followed me. It’s crazy! Your support is everything.

What are your thoughts?
Let me know in the comment section, or you can clap and also share. Again, thank you for reading.❤️
